Back to School Tags

So I joined a business builder swap so I could have things made with every paper pack. The idea is you take the paper pack you signed up for and make 9 of what ever you said you would. I signed up for tags and  12x12 layouts. For these tags I used the scholastic Workshop on the go, which will not be available until August 1.

I also wanted to let you know I am so excited about the new Artiste Cricut cartridge that I will be doing a project a Starting August 1. Be sure to tune in to see all the amazing projects it can make!

Thanks for stopping by!

Some of my tags were repeats, but I made 7 different ones. All my tag shapes came from  the Art Philosophy cartridge.

The stamp is from the stamp set that comes with the workshop.

Love the number boarders on this stamp set.

I thought this one could be used as a bookmark or a tag.

Meal planning board inspired my Mandy Leahy

So I have been running a little low on creative juices this month and that has sent me to the internet for inspiration. While browsing I found Mandy Leahy's blog, mypassionforscrapbooking.com . She has posted tons of great projects! I was so excited to find her blog because she was inspiring my projects before I even became a consultant!

So the project I am sharing with you is the meal planning board I made. My family can never seem to decide what to have for dinner and it seems like when we don't have an idea we go out. Well that get pricey so when I saw this on Mandy's blog I knew I had to try it!

Meal planning board inspired by Mandy Leahy.

With the Meal tags added.

several more of my meal tags
So to make this you will need a canvas, some paint clothes pins, and whatever paper pack you choose! I used Stella. You just paint your canvas, use a patterned paper to create a background. measure the top of your clothespins and cut paper strips to cover them. Glue your clothespins to your canvas, leaving enough space for tags to fit on each clothespin. Next cut patterned paper strips 1.5x3 and solid paper strips 1x3. Make a list of your family's favorite meals in a word doc. print and cut them out then glue them to your solid strips. The solid trips will go on your patterned strips.

Hope you have as much fun as I did and don't forget a new catalog goes live August 1!! Make sure and get products before they retire! Footloose, Lucy, Superhero,Cruisin', Typeset, Roxy, Elemental, and Sonoma will be retiring!

Mini Note Box with Pen Holder

So this project was inspired by a fellow consultant Lisa Stenz. She made 3x3 cards to go in hers but I chose to opt out of making the cards. I used this for my July class and some of the ladies actually wanted to put post-it notes inside. Also I just wanted to remind you all that a new catalog goes live in August so get your accessories now!

This was my version of the box. All of the paper is Pemberly. The stamp set is from the Workshop On The Go. I created the White patterned paper on top by random stamping the flower design on white paper.

This is what the inside of the box looks like, You can see in the back where a pen can be stored and the two front spaces can hold 3x3 cards or note pads.

This is what the sides look like, I love this hexagonal paper! So pretty!
This next picture was actually a surprise bonus project. I gave the ladies a sneak peek of the August Stamp of the Month. Remember a $50.00 order will get you the stamp set for $5.00!!
This is a dry erase board, I found the idea online! I used Pemberly paper and the August Stamp of the Month.
I just want to remind you all that a $75.00 order through my website www.rebeccakings.myctmh.com get you a free paper pack and accessory!!!! Remember to go get you items that are about to retire and earn your free paper pack!
If you would like instructions on how to create anything you see here just leave a comment with your email! Or you can E-mail me at rebeccakings09@gmail.com

Another Color Challenge!!

So for this color challenge we were suppose to use secondary colors. I used Garden Green, Petal and Autumn Terracotta. I chose to do a layout with Lily's surgery pictures. She had to have her tonsils out in May.

Here is the Challenge exactly: This week's color dare is to choose your own secondary colors: any shade of orange,green, and/or purple will do. Pick two or use all three.

This is the complete two page layout. The paper is Roxy, and the stamp used is Diverse Backgrounds, and for the title I used Keepsake Alphabet.

Remember time is running short to get these supplies!  New idea book goes live August 1, 2012.  Also there is a new Cricut Cartridge coming out!!! Make sure and get Art Philosophy! The cartridge bundle comes with a ton of extra goodies!

Stretch Canvas Shadowbox Frame

I must say I have been a little low on inspiration this week so I went on the CTMH artwork Bulliten board for some, and found this. A Shadowbox Frame made from Florentine paper and a 8x10 Canvas. Beverly Tiemann is the original creator of these frames.
The sentiment say "A picture is worth a thousand words."
from the Take a Picture Stamp set.

Sorry I do not have more pictures, I did not take any shots as I was making it. I am giving it a friend of my boyfriend and I. It was suppose to be for his birthday, but I was running late making it! lol. If you want directions, Beverly Tiemann posted a video on youtube. Thanks for looking!Link to the video, http://youtu.be/8w9RUsb2iBQ
